Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has ordered the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, to enter his defence if he so desires in his ongoing trial over his alleged unlawful interception of the telephone communications of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

Justice Abdulmalik issued the order while ruling on a no-case submission made by El-Rufai on Monday.

The Judge dismissed the no-case submission, insisting that there is sufficient evidence furnished by the prosecution to warrant the court calling on the defendant to enter his defence if he so desires.

The judge adjourned to November 25 for defence.
