Abia State governor, Alex Otti, has cleared the medical expenses of Nollywood veteran actor, Sunny Macdon, who is currently battling prostate cancer.
Singer J Martins, who also serves as the Special Adviser (SA) on Tourism and Entertainment to the governor, made this known on Friday via the microblogging platform, X formerly Twitter.
He wrote: “I am pleased to announce that H.E @alexottiofr has taken over the medical expenses bill for one of Abia’s legendary actor, Mr. Sunny Macdon, who has been battling with prostate cancer for some years now.
“The office of the SSA on Entertainment & Tourism appreciates his kind gesture.”
The singer did not disclose the cost of the treatment or provide further details about Macdon’s condition.
