The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared Senator Andy Ubah along with 11 others to contest in the Anambra gubernatorial primaries coming up later this month.
Chairman of the screening panel, Ajayi Agboola, said the 12 contestants are fit to participate in the primaries. Agboola, who is also the deputy governor of Ondo State, said all the candidates are capable of representing the party in the upcoming Anambra governorship elections holding in November.
He also revealed that the candidates complied with the set guidelines and also promised to support whoever emerges the party’s candidate for the election.
The party holds its governorship primary on August 19. The national organizing secretary of the APC, Senator Osita Izunaso, commended the aspirants for their display of maturity, adding that no report of violence has been received so far.
