A clash has occurred between the police and residents of Aga, Ikorodu, Lagos State, after two persons were hit by stray bullets allegedly from the police this morning.
It was gathered that the residents, on Sunday night, caught a man suspected to be a member of ritual gang, Bado, around Olomomeje Mosque at Oni-Ogunsanya Street.
The residents reportedly tried to lynch the suspect but were stopped by policemen who tried to take him away to safety. They were however resisted by youths resident in the community.
To have their way, the policemen were said to have fired gunshots in order to disperse the crowd, but stray bullets reportedly hit two persons on the head and hand.
Incensed, the youths reportedly engaged the policemen in a fight, with the police team calling for reinforcement.
