The District Head of Kankara LGA also known as Sarkin Pawa, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal, has been sacked by the Katsina Emirate Council for aiding and abetting banditry activities in his domain.
The District Head, who was suspended on April 30 2021, was found guilty of all the charges levied against him by the committee set-up to probe the allegations.
Security agents and other relevant stakeholders within Kankara LGA were reported to have testified against the Sarkin Pawa for indulging in banditry.
The spokesman of the Katsina Emirate, Sarkin Labarai, Alh. Ibrahim Iro Bindawa reportedly said that the Emir of Katsina, Alh. Abdulmuminu Kabir Usman, ordered the sacking of the district head.
The sack was officially announced on Friday after the Emirate received a letter from the Katsina State government which equally found him culpable of all the allegations levelled against him, a reliable source said.
