Suspected thugs have attacked the secretariat of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.
The incident, reported on Wednesday, comes less than one week after an attack on the party’s supporters in Enugu State, which resulted in the death of person.
In Enugu, the party confirmed the death of Nworie Christopher from Affa in Udi LGA, following gunshot injuries after armed thugs allegedly invaded the campaign office of its governorship candidate, Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, in the GRA area of Enugu on October 10, 2026.
No casualty was reported in the Edo attack, but a video from the scene showed office property destroyed.
The development has sparked concern among civil society organisations and political observers, who warn that repeated attacks on opposition party offices could threaten the credibility of the electoral process.
In the viral video of the vandalised Edo secretariat, a woman was heard accusing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“The last one happened in Enugu, where one person died. Now they have brought it to Edo. APC, your end is here,” she said.
