Tegbe lists 5 priorities to achieve stable power supply

The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has listed five priorities to ensure stable electricity supply across the country.

The Senate, on Wednesday, confirmed Tegbe as the new Minister of Power following the resignation of his predecessor, Adebayo Adelabu.

Adelabu, had on April 22, resign his position in the Federal Executive Council to pursue his governorship ambition in Oyo State.

In a statement on Thursday, Tegbe listed improved gas supply, grid infrastructure and others as his priorities to enhance power supply.

He specifically said the administration would:

  • Enhance gas supply to boost power generation capacity
  • Improve grid infrastructure to enhance reliability and reduce outage.
  • Implement accountability measures in distribution companies.
  • Enhance the rollout of meters to customers and;
  • Restore financial reliability across the sector.”
