* Asks Borno South senator to resign from ACP
The All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, asked the Senator representing Borno South, Ali Ndume, to resign from the party.
The party also asked the senator to vacate his position as Chief Whip of the Senate.
The APC gave the directive a letter sent to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
The letter was read on the floor of the upper legislative chamber on Wednesday.
Following the directive, the APC National Chair; Abdullahi Ganduje, and the National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, nominated the Senator representing Borno North, Tahir Monguno, to take Ndume’s place.
The ruling party accused Ndume of making hurtful comments against the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
