Sanwo-Olu serves notice to dissolve Lagos State Executive Council

*Sacks all political appointees, aides

Six days to his swearing in for a second term in office, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the dissolution of the State Executive Council (SEC) as it is currently constituted.

The directive, which will take effect from Friday, May 26, 2023, was announced by the governor through a circular released by the Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

The circular numbered 046, and titled, “End of Political Office Holders-Cabinet/Non-cabinet Ranks”, said the dissolution also affects all other aides.
