The Police in Lagos have launched an investigation into an alleged threat issued against Igbo by the Lagos State Parks Management Committee Chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo.
Commissioner of Police in the State, Idowu Owohunwa, disclosed this while featuring in an interview with TV Arise News on Friday.
MC Oluomo had, in a viral video, allegedly threatened Igbo people living in Lagos to stay away from polling units if they will not vote for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Lagos State.
“We condemn in strongest possible terms any act, statement that could be interpreted, speech that could be interpreted deeply as political tension. With regards to this specific video, it is currently a subject of an investigation,” CP Owohunwa
