Police operatives serving in Thinker’s Corner Division have arrested 22-year-old man – Innocent Ishaku – for allegedly vandalizing cables of a telecommunications mast located at Naira Triangle, along the Abakaliki Road in Enugu.
Spokesman for the Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed this through a statement issued on Thursday night.
Ndukwe said following his arrest, police recovered several lengths of vandalized cables, a significant portion of which had been stripped of their valuable copper components, though the total value remains undetermined.
Additionally, the operatives seized a pair of pliers and a screwdriver, tools clearly used in his criminal activities.
He assured that investigation is ongoing, and the suspect is expected to be formally arraigned once all pertinent details have been thoroughly examined and documented.
