The police in Anambra State have arrested 16 suspected cultists barely 48 hours after the State House of Assembly passed a law criminalizing cult activities.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this through a statement on Saturday in Awka, said 21 others have been declared wanted by the command.
He said the operation followed the resurgence of cult activities in the State.
Ikenga added that efforts to track down the fleeing cultists are ongoing.
