Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has sacked the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Toyin Balogun.
Makinde disclosed this in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, on Wednesday.
The governor announced that Balogun has been replaced by Alhaja Joke Sanni, a former occupant of the position.
He thanked Balogun for her contributions to the development of the State, and wished her success in her future endeavour.
Reports said that Sanni had earlier served as the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion from 2019 to 2023.
She was later moved to the Ministry of Special Duties in 2023 before being recently redeployed to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative.
The statement added that the new redeployment takes immediate effect.
