Pop music singer, Davido, has revealed his appointment as Head of Youth Mobilisation for the re-election campaign of Osun State governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Davido made the announcement in a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he expressed support for the governor’s re-election bid under the Accord Party.
“I have been appointed by the Governor of OSUN STATE @AAdeleke01 and flag bearer of the ACCORD PARTY 01 as HEAD YOUTH MOBILISATION OF CAMPAIGN COUNCIL! We look forward to a smooth campaign and you re–electing your EXCELLENCY! 4+4”
Davido, who is the governor’s nephew, has been a long-time supporter of Adeleke and had previously taken part in his campaigns.
The singer is expected to lead youth engagement efforts ahead of the August 2026 Osun governorship election.
He has also been involved in state initiatives, including youth and sports development programmes in Osun State.
