Plans are in top gear for the maiden edition of Outstanding Dignitaries Achievement Awards otherwise known as ODA Awards powered by
Rollicking Entertainment Company – a media content production and
events management company
According to Princess Olukemi Egbeyode, a television presenter and movie producer, the brain behind the ODAAwards project: “We have observed that in recent times people who have done greatly in various intellectual industries have not been celebrated or honored as they should. The ODA abbreviation is a Yoruba word meaning “You are good”.
This is a perfect interpretation of what the award stands for, because it is recognition for the best.
The amiable lady further stated that, the awards is focused on men and women who have done excellently well in their professions, achievers and entrepreneurs who have created jobs and also helped in developing their industry, environment and society. She added that those that have represented the country in different fields with high level of integrity and honor will be celebrated at the maiden edition of the award which will be an annual event.
The awardees list included: Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Princess Toyin Kolade, Oba Adetola Emmanuel King, Barrister Biyi Otegbeye, Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, Princess Folashade Adeyemi, Ademilola Odujinri, Mutiu Adepoju, Funke Oshonaike, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, Falilat Ogunkoya, Mrs Laja Adedoyin, among others.
According to Olujuwon Bukunola-Philips, the media director of the award,
“ODAAwards and QMA is a partnership that will promote excellence and it is a one day event with lots of glamour and celebrations.
We expect many dignitaries at the event like traditional rulers, celebrities, Nigerians in Diaspora and foreigners to be in attendance.
Oba Adéyeyè Enitan Ògúnwùsì (Òjàjà II) Ọọ̀ni’rìsà of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ will be the royal father of the day; the event is strictly by invitation.”
There will be lots of music, comedy and a Fashion show with support from Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL) one of Nigeria’s leading producers and marketers of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Spice Television and a whole lot more. The award is billed to hold on the 3rd of December at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos.
