The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Kehinde Obateru as the new Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division.
Obateru takes over from Mr. Ndu Ughamadu who retired from the position in September last year.
On Ughamadu’s retirement, the erstwhile General Manager, External Relations, Mr. Samson Makoji, was seconded to act in his stead.
With Obateru returning from London where was serving as the General Manager of the corporation, Makoji reverses to his former position as the General Manager, External Relations, just as Mr. Gboyega Bello has now been promoted General Manager, to take over from Obateru in the London office of the corporation.
A graduate of the University of Sterling, University of Ilorin, Nigeria Institute of Journalism, Obateru is a member of several national and international professional organizations, including the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Africa Public Relations Association (APRA), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), among others.
