No Boeing 737 Max 8 operating in Nigeria ― NCAA

Following the crash of the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft operated by Ethiopian Airline at the weekend and the safety concerns being expressed by Nigerian air travellers, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has allayed the fears nursed by the public.

The spokesman for NCAA, Mr Sam Adurogboye, said from available records, no Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft is currently flying in Nigeria.

However, Air Peace airline said it is yet to take delivery of the 10 Boeing 737 Max 8 it ordered since last year.

The airline, nonetheless, said there is nothing to worry about, noting that it only placed an order for the aircraft type in question according to the specification of the airline.
