The Federal Ministry of Education has inaugurated a committee to investigate the death of a 13-year-old Junior Secondary School II student, Nuhu Yahaya, of the Federal Government College Kwali, FCT.
The Director of Press and Public Relations in the ministry, Mr. Ben Goong, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Reports say a teacher (names not available) in the school had allegedly beaten Yahaya to death following the latter’s failure to do his assignment.
The teacher had given him a punishment to serve and had later allegedly used a bucket handle to hit him repeatedly on the head.
