Military proves Okuama community leader not dead in custody, releases him to Sen Dafinone

Finally, the military authorities on Tuesday released Pa Dennis Okugbaye, the detained leader from Okuama, to Senator Ede Dafinone, Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District.

Okugbaye is one of those held in connection with the killings of military personnel in Okuama.

Contrary to earlier reports of his death in military detention, Pa Okugbaye was released on bail following Senator Dafinone’s intervention.

The Senator is expected to ensure his appearance when needed.

Senator Dafinone had previously facilitated the release of the Ewu King, who had also been arrested over the same issue.

The ailing Pa Okugbaye, according to reports, is currently receiving treatment at a government owned hospital, where family members are attending to him.
