… To Aro traditional council, churches, villages, police
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Aiteo E&P Ltd, Sir Victor Ike Okoronkwo (Ugwu Aro), has donated relief materials comprising cash, bags of rice and garri for distribution to various segments of Arochukwu Kingdom.
Represented by Barr Ken Ogbonna, the first Vice President-General of Atani Welfare Union, Okoronkwo explained that the gesture is to help cushion the difficulties that many Aro households are facing as a consequence of the lock down occasioned by the Convid-19 pandemic.
Starting with the immediate family – Ndi Elekwauwa in Atani village – Okoronkwo made cash donation, in addition to setting up several hand washing points in the compound, provided sanitizers, while the people were thought social distancing and other safely measures against the pandemic.
To the village, the relief material disbursement train presented 14 bags × 10 kg of rice and three bags of garri with N50,000 cash donation.
The Arochukwu traditional ruling council also benefited from the largesse, as the representatives of Eze Aro, Mazi Oji Kanu Oji; Eze Ibom Isii, Mazi Kanu Nwa Kanu; and Eze Ezeagwu, Mazi Okorafor Uroh, received food items and cash donations on their behalf.
Other beneficiaries included St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Amankwu; The Presbyterian Church, Amaeze Parish, Obinkita; the Cathedral Church of All Saints Anglican Church, Ugwuavor ; and all Anglican Church parishes in Arochukwu.
The relief materials distribution train also presented some of the items to the Arochukwu Divisional Police headquarters, as well as Okoronkwo’s residential neighbourhood – Ugwuavor village.
Indeed the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Mazi Ike Okoronkwo for his kindness at this difficult period, and prayed for God’s continuous protection and blessings upon his life and members of his family.
