A lawyer and model, Doris Ogah, has won the 45th edition of Miss Nigeria pageant.
She defeated four other finalists to wear the prestigious crown, in the event that took place at the Royal Box Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos
The contestants, about 20 in number, also went through various stages, showcasing their cultural heritage.
Shatu Garko, the 44th Miss Nigeria, thereafter crowned Ogah as her successor.
“It’s been a lifelong dream of mine to be given the opportunity to serve as an example to inspire and empower countless women and girls around the world,” she wrote on Instagram after she won.
Top Nigerian music stars, such as Yemi Alade and Kingsley Okonkwo aka KCee thrilled the audience at the event.
