Lagos operatives nab suspect for vandalizing 3rd Mainland Bridge lighting indicators


Operatives of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) have arrested a 46-year-old man, Friday Nwafor, for damaging the Third Mainland Bridge road light indicators.

The suspect was caught on Tuesday tampering with the newly installed infrastructure and causing damage to the road light indicators.

The LNSC, through a statement on Wednesday, said: “Tuesday, May 7th 2024, officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) apprehended a road infrastructure vandal who was vandalizing the newly constructed 3rd Mainland Bridge road light indicators.

The suspect was identified as Mr. Friday Nwafor a 46-year-old male resident of Lagos who was immediately taken into our custody and handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade.”

In an update on Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared a video of the suspect and stated: “Thank you, #OfficialLNSC.

“Suspect has been duly received, and investigation has commenced.”
