The Joint Security Team (JST) in Anambra has rescued three people who were kidnapped by gunmen in the State.
They were rescued on Saturday along Onitsha-Owerri Expressway, specifically in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
Reports said that the kidnappers escaped while the victims have been rushed to hospital for treatment.
They were kidnapped at Nkwelle-Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area.
Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident.
Ikenga said the Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has charged operatives to redouble their efforts for possible arrest of the criminals.
