Irate youths attack Igbos in Sokoto, set their shops ablaze

Hundreds of armed youths have reportedly set ablaze a building along Bello Way, Sokoto, where Igbo traders have shops.
Shops were vandalized and burned by the irate youth ostensibly in retaliation of alleged harassment of northerners in the South-east and South-south zones by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

President-General of the Igbo Community in Sokoto State, Mr. Charles Uwaga, reportedly confirmed the attack.

The police have mobilized to restore order.
