Iran dares US military to enter Strait of Hormuz

The commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Ali Abdollahi, has issued a warning to the United States (US) military, threatening to attack if they enter the Strait of Hormuz.

He issued the warning on Monday through a statement after the United States vowed to guide stranded ships through the shipping checkpoints.

He said: “Any foreign military force, especially the invading American army, will be attacked if they try to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz.”

According to the top official, Iran will protect the security of the Strait with full strength.

“We maintain and powerfully manage the security of the Strait of Hormuz with full strength and announce to all commercial ships and oil tankers to refrain from any transit without coordination with the armed forces stationed in the Strait of Hormuz so that their security is not endangered,” Abdollahi said.

“The waterway is under the control of Iran’s armed forces, and any ‘aggressive action by America to disrupt the situation will only result in further complication and endangerment of the security of vessels’ in the area, ” Abdollahi added.
