Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom in Ondo State, has debunked the rumour clamming that he is dead.
The reaction of Oba Akinruntan, who is on vacation outside the country, was articulated by his lawyer, Chief Sola Ebiseni,.
Ebiseni quoted the monarch to have assured that he is in good health.
He noted that he received numerous calls from concerned individuals following reports of his death.
The traditional ruler described the false news as a sign of longevity in Yoruba culture, and confirmed that he would return home soon.
His son, Prince Akinfemiwa Akinruntan, also reassured the public that the monarch is well, and urged people to stop spreading false information.
