A former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, has refuted rumours that he passed away on Monday.
The death rumour has been circulating across all social media channels.
But in a terse statement on Monday evening, his personal media assistant, Adeyeye E. Ajayi, clarified that the former military leader is alive.
According to Ajayi, Gowon said: “I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry.”
