Following the traffic gridlock between Lokoja and Abuja highway, hundreds of passengers have been left stranded since Thursday night up till Saturday.
Reports said that many motorists got stuck since Thursday as a result of a bad road and accident in Bada.
Some of the passengers reportedly said they are on their way from Kaduna heading to Imo State on Thursday but got stuck in the gridlock.
Most passengers had to drop from their vehicles and look for alternatives to their destination as commercial motorcycle riders make brisk business from the situation.
Passengers heading across the River Niger Bridge from Lokoja were charged over N6,000 by the commercial motorcycle riders, as they also charged the same amount for those who are coming from the Abuja axis and want to hike a motorcycle across the bridge.
However, officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), some security agencies and good Samaritans are working round the clock to resolve the logjam.
