A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has scoffed at President Bola Tinubu’s plan to overhaul his cabinet, dubbing it political patronage for his core loyalists.
Galadima downplayed the plan, emphasizing that Nigerians have more pressing concerns.
Galadima declared that Tinubu should be held accountable for his ministers’ performances.
“Anybody who calls himself president or governor is responsible for their cabinet’s performance,” he said.
The NNPP chieftain also accused Tinubu’s appointees of prioritizing personal gain over service delivery.
“He should be told that some of his appointees are more interested in their pockets than service delivery.”
Galadima expressed disappointment in Tinubu’s performance, saying: “I expected him to do better than this; and to hit the ground running.”
He urged the president to address the country’s foreign exchange crisis, which has severely impacted the value of the Naira.
