El kanemi Warriors unveil Imama Amapakabo as coach

Few months after the controversial sack of Imama Amapakabo by former
Nigeria Premier league champions, Rangers International Football Club,
the football tactician has been handed another coaching job by the
Elkanemi Warriors Football Club.

The Maiduguri, Borno State-based team, signed the Super Eagles Assistant Coach on a one year contract after calling it a day with their former coach, Ladan Bosso. The Warriors ended last season at sixth position on the NPFL table, but sacked15 players and retained 25 others.

According to the spokesman of the club Anthony Obaze, those axed where found to have contributed little or nothing to the club and so the need to re-organize the team to make them contenders for next season.

Elkanemi finished the season as one of the teams in the NPFL that did not lose any match before their home fans.
