Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, has decried the economic situation in the country as well as the level of poverty among Nigerians caused by what he described as bad governance under the APC led Federal government.
Dogara, who spoke on Monday during the flag-off of the gubernatorial campaign of the PDP in Gombe State held in Kaltungo, appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the PDP in the general elections for a better Nigeria.
The Speaker said: “Nigeria has been under intense security challenges; we must stop the APC in order to have one united Nigeria and end insecurity in North-East region, Zamfara, Sokoto and the country at large.”
He described the PDP as the best option to what the country is presently going through, declaring that the APC-led administration at all levels has indeed failed Nigerians as not a single of its campaign promises has been fulfilled.
In his own address, Gombe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, assured that the socio-economic and political dimensions of the country will witness an unprecedented turn around if his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is given another chance to take charge of the affairs of leadership in the country.
Dankwambo enjoined Nigerians to vote the Atiku/Obi ticket because according to him, their track records in political antecedent of the country makes the duo the most experienced and the most preferred candidates for Nigerians.”
The Governor assured the people Gombe State that a vote for the PDP is a vote for the continuation of development considering what has been done in the state in the last 8 years of the PDP led administration in the state.
