Mobile telecoms giant – Globacom – has taken a strategic step in its marketing drive, by opening an ultra-modern sales and service outlet known as GloWorld, on the upscale Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos.
Globacom’s Group Executive Director, Mrs. Bella Disu, led important personalities including government officials, socialites, top artistes, media chiefs and senior members of Globacom to inaugurate the outlet on Saturday, November 17.
The company’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Michael Toluhi, said the new Gloworld was the first in a new generation of iconic contact centres which are aesthetically appealing and equipped for comfort and speedy customer services.
“The new service centre is sterling; an ultra-modern architectural masterpiece adorning the commercial hub of Ikeja, which is home to several high net-worth businesses,” he stated.
Guests at the event were taken on a tour of the shop which revealed an exquisitely furnished office equipped with the latest technology for quick sales, customer complaint diagnosis and resolution.
The first set of visitors were able to savour the cool, cozy and luxurious ambience, that relaxes the customer while he or she is transacting business.
Toluhi said: “Our desire is to bring our services closer to the people, create more platforms for our customers to have access to our array of products and services in quick-time, as well as give them a pleasant unforgettable network experience.”
Earlier, the Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Fahm, who cut the tape to open the event had said: “Glo is not just a national leader in the industry but a global leader.”
He applauded Globacom for extending its contact centres to more locations, adding that the move would further consolidate its leadership status in the industry.
Managing Director, Ibile Broadband, Mr. Ganiyu Oseni, described the opening of the new Gloworld shop as an innovative concept in customer service which is bound to challenge other telcos to up their game. He stated that the ambience of the office and the technology installed showed the company’s commitment to customer service.
The company used the opportunity of the opening of the new shop to showcase the new Apple iPhone Xs which comes with luxurious and futuristic features as well as Glo’s 36GB bundled data and N5,000 airtime on purchase.
The shop, located a short distance from another Glo shop on Opebi Street, is manned by well trained, customer-friendly and pleasant officials for which Globacom is renowned.
