The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 835 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Rivers State recorded the highest number of new cases with 263 infections followed by Lagos which reported 217.
The health agency made this known on Friday morning in an update posted on its verified Facebook page.
The country also recorded about 10 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total fatality to 2,298.
So far, Nigeria has recorded 189,715 cases of the disease with about 169,626 patients already recovered.
