A Mapo Grade A Customary Court in Ibadan has remanded four ladies for alleged theft of several bottles of perfumes valued at N2.4 million.
The suspects are Oluwabukunmi Adesanya, Eunice Adeniyi, Rukayat Ajibola and Sarah Ajibode. They pleaded not guilty to a five-count charge bordering on conspiracy and theft preferred against them.
President of the court, Mrs. S.M. Akintayo, granted the defendants N500,000 bail each, with two reliable sureties each in like sum.
He ordered that the sureties must show evidence of three years tax payment to the Oyo State Government.
Akintayo, however, ordered that the defendants be remanded at Agodi Correctional Centre, pending the fulfillment of their bail conditions.
She adjourned the matter to February 3, 2025 for hearing.
