President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate overseas medical treatment of former vice president, Dr Alex Ekwueme.
According to a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu in Abuja on Friday, the approval followed a brief the president received on the health condition of the former vice president.
The statement said the approval covers the immediate charter of an air ambulance for the emergency movement and the cost of treatment.
President Buhari, the statement said, prayed God to grant the elder statesman quick recovery.
