The Abia State Homeland Security team led by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Prince Dan Okoli, has intercepted another group of Almajiris hidden in cattle trucks at Enugu-Abia boundary along the Enugu -Port Harcourt Expressway.
Overnight, several trucks conveying food items with several Almajiris hiding in them were reportedly turned back at the same spot.
As a result of the incident, the state government has directed that more homeland security personnel be deployed to one of the boundaries with Akwa Ibom State following the interception of a truck belonging to a well known company conveying Almajiris alongside goods destined for Akwa Ibom State.
