Ace comedian, Atuyota Akporomemerere a.k.a Ali Baba, has finally
launched his TV talk show tagged Alibaba Seriously live on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network.
The programme is an upgrade of his radio talk show tagged Alibaba Seriously on Nigerian Info, a Lagos based FM station. The maiden edition of the talk show
hit the screen on Sunday, October 8, 2017. On the set with Alabab were the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Lagos State Sector Commander, Hyginus Omeje; a philanthropist and medical practitioner, Dr Yolanda George-David, and singer Anne appearing as his guests on the interview segment.
According to the comedian, the talk show is a shift from the norm and
is meant to prepare viewers for an exciting working week ahead. It
will feature interviews on trending issues spiced with jokes. There
is a free gift section where the viewers are expected to win mouth
watering prices which will be delivered at their door posts.
Coincidentally, it was in the same studio 25 years ago that veteran broadcaster Patrick Doyle featured Alibaba as guest in his radio talk show dubbed Friday Nite with Patrick Doyle.
The comedian said the choice of the same studio many years later was to relive the memories of his early days as a comedian. Alibaba Seriously is produced by Bunmi Davies.
