First Lady Mrs. Aisha Buhari, left Nigeria on Sunday to visit her ailing husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.
The president has been in the U.K since May 7 to receive medical treatment.
Mrs. Buhari returned from the United Kingdom last week, assuring Nigerians that her husband was in good health and would return soon.
Many Nigerians, however, are running out of patience. On Monday morning, aggrieved citizens trooped out to protest Buhari’s 92-day absence from the country, demanding that he either resumes presidential duties in Nigeria or resign.
While the presidency has yet to issue a statement regarding the First Lady’s trip to London, members of staff reportedly confirmed the development to The Nation.
