Abia Guber 2019: APGA’s Alex Otti declares on July 20

All roads lead on July 20 to Ngwa High School, Aba, where Dr. Alex Otti will formally declare his intention to contest the 2019 Abia governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Already, there is palpable excitement in the air, as residents of the commercial city gear up to be part of the epochal event.

Otti contested the 2015 poll, which the court awarded the now incumbent, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu.

Indeed APGA insists that its candidate won the 2015 election, but was a victim of institutional manipulation.

All interest groups supportive of the candidacy of the former bank chief executive have mobilized to demonstrate their solidarity with Otti, confident that his victory in the 2019 election will usher in good governance, which had eluded the State since its creation.

From all indications, the Ngwa High School venue of the event will be jam-packed with APGA supporters and those who wish for the liberation of Abia State.

Otti, APGA says, stands for good governance, job creation, pensioners/workers’ welfare, infrastructural development and general economic turn-around of Abia State.

He is expected to make public his agenda for Abia State at the July 20 rally.

Earlier, Otti had sent out invitation across board to the State residents requesting them to attend his declaration.

He wrote: “I wish to invite you to my declaration to re-contest the governorship election in Abia State under my party, APGA. The event holds on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Ngwa High School, Aba, by 10am.”

And his media aide, Ferdinand Ekeoma wrote: “Join Dr. Alex Otti (OFR) and other progressives to complete this voyage that is destined for success. May God bless you richly as you prepare to be part of history.”
