Abducted father of Imo ex-deputy gov, Madumere, regains freedom

Father of the former deputy governor of Imo State and traditional ruler of Ezi-Mbieri Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere, has regained his freedom from his abductors.

The monarch is the father of Prince Eze Madumere, who served as deputy to Rochas Okorocha. He was reportedly released by the kidnappers in the early morning of Wednesday.

Spokesman to the former deputy governor, Uche Onwuchekwa, confirmed the release of the monarch. He was taken straight to the hospital for medical check-up.

Madumere has since arrived his home town, Achi, Ezi Mbieri Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
