One of the suspected kidnappers who reportedly invaded Yargeda village in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, where they abducted three people, has met his waterloo.
According to reports, while taking the victims through a forest route, the kidnappers passed through Rini village. Residents of Rini intercepted the suspects, forcing most of them to flee, while one was apprehended.
He was reportedly hung on a water tank stand. An image on social media showed his lifeless body dangling on water tank stand.
Instead of handing the suspect over to law enforcement authorities, the villagers reportedly went for jungle justice. The incident highlights the growing frustration and desperation among local communities.
Meanwhile, police in the State have retrieved the kidnapper’s body for further investigation.
