The Recording Academy, on Sunday, began honouring artists across music as the 2026 Grammy Awards got underway, with winners set to be announced in nearly 100 categories, ranging from Album of the Year to Best New Artist.
Voting this year covered major fields such as Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Producer of the Year. Kendrick Lamar leads the 2026 nominees with nine nominations, while Lady Gaga follows with seven nods, tying with producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut. Sabrina Carpenter and Bad Bunny are among the artists with six nominations each.
The 68th annual Grammy Awards air Sunday night at 8 pm EST on CBS and Paramount+. The ceremony is hosted by Trevor Noah, with performances expected from artists including Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. The event is taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles.
Ahead of the main broadcast, the Grammys Premiere Ceremony began earlier in the day, where the Recording Academy announces winners in most categories. The pre-show started at 3:30 pm EST at the Peacock Theater, located next to the main arena.
