Since the inception of the new Nollywood close to two decades ago, with much focus on Lagos, Surulere has been the melting pot that brings together most of the actors and industry practitioners. This has informed the location of many eateries and hangouts. One of them is CH Lounge situated at Modupe Crescent, off Adeniran Ogusanya Street. The Lounge is owned by the trio of Charles Inojie, Chinedu Ikedieze and Chidi Nwokeabia – all Nollywood practitioners.
In the words of Charles Inojie: Surulere is the melting pot of most industry stakeholders and players, and we thought of putting up something where practitioners can gather, fete and drink in a conducive environment. We have a viewing center and a rich bar with assorted drinks for different clientele. We also serve different types of continental and intercontinental food. But our trade mark is the yam and goat meat pepper soup, which you can only get from our lounge.
Inojie also explained that the lounge has hosted a number of events like end of the year parties, birthday bash and auditions for movies.
CH is the acronym for the names of the trio that set up the lounge.
