Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vowed to resist what he described as unjustified impeachment attempt against his government.
Fubara made the vow against the backdrop of the crisis that rocked the State, especially the House of Assembly since Sunday when rumors of impeachment of the governor began to spread.

Addressing a crowd of supporters at the Government House on Monday, Fubara narrated how he was ‘shot at’ by OC operations on his way to assess the reported damage resulting from the Sunday night fire incident at the House of Assembly complex.
“If I am impeached, I will not be the first person nor the last one. But any attempt that is not justified will be resisted,” the governor vowed.
