Troops have reportedly arrested eight injured bandits at a health facility in Zamfara State.
The bandits, according to PRNigeria, were among those who fled air strikes by a Nigerian military jet in the State on Friday.
It was learnt that an aircraft of the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji carried out air interdiction missions at bandits’ camps in the North west state, on Friday.
Sources say scores of bandits in the camps of Alhaji Zaki, Alhaji Maidaji, Kachalla Doso and Kachalla Kariga were killed in Shamushelle area of Birnin Magaji.
The source added that some bandits were injured while fleeing from the bombardments.
“Security operatives, however, intercepted about eight injured bandits at a local health facility, where they had gone to seek medical treatment,” he said.
