Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has clarified that federal workers at all levels will get the sum of N25,000 cash as palliative to cushion the effect of the removal of petrol subsidy.
Gbajabiamila made the announcement on Sunday after the Federal government met with organised labour at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“The N25,000 earlier announced by President Tinubu for low-grade federal workers as an intervention is now to cut across all levels of workers,” Gbajabiamila said.
Gbajabiamila made the clarification following the meeting with the National Labour Union (NLC) and the Trade Union Commission (TUC) over the looming nationwide strike on October 3.
The meeting at the instance of the Chief of Staff was attended by some ministers.
Last Tuesday, organised labour comprising the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) announced their decision to commence an indefinite strike on October 3.
