Stop ‘helping’ ladies, Apostle Suleman tells young men

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has sparked debate online after urging young men to focus more on supporting fellow men rather than women.

The clergyman made this statement during a recent sermon that quickly spread across social media platforms.

Sharing his perspective, Suleman explained that, from his experience, men who uplift other men are more likely to form solid partnerships and steer clear of avoidable controversies.

He acknowledged that while some women are virtuous and appreciative, assisting them can sometimes lead to complications.

Addressing his congregation, he said: “As a young man, let me give you some counsel; help more males than females. ‘Aah papa, are you against the females?’ No, let the females help themselves. Do you know why? When you help a man, you have a team.

“When you help a lady, wait for a scandal. Not all of them, maybe ten per cent… but most times you stand a better chance helping men like you.”

Although aware that his words might be controversial, Suleman stressed that his message was based on personal encounters rather than a need for public validation.

“I know this statement is going to go somehow but I don’t care, I am speaking from my experience. This is my opinion and I am entitled to it,” he added.
