Police Service Commission (PSC) has warned Nigerians to disregard circulating reports claiming that a recruitment portal has been opened for enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued by Njoku Kalu, Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, the Commission dismissed the reports as false and described them as the handiwork of fraudsters targeting unsuspecting citizens.
“The Police Service Commission wishes to state categorically that no recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force is currently ongoing, and no such portal has been opened by the Commission,” the statement said.
The PSC clarified that any genuine recruitment exercise will be announced through official channels, including its website and verified media platforms.
The Commission urged the public to ignore any unofficial portals or announcements and to exercise caution to avoid falling victim to online scams.
“Any purported recruitment portal not published on the Commission’s official website is fraudulent and should be reported to the police accordingly,” the statement added.
