Police declare Lagos lady wanted for alleged lesbianism

* After her partner escaped mob attack

The Nigeria Police, Ketu Division, Lagos State, has declared one Olanike Akindoyin wanted over her alleged involvement in homosexual activities.

Akindoyin resides at 4, Oyinborode Street, Ikosi-Ketu Lagos, according to the police report.

Lagos State Police spokesman, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this through a statement.

The suspect was declared wanted following a confession made by her partner, Ojo Oluwakemi, a 39 years old lesbian suspect, rescued from the mobs at Sunnyside Hotel & Suites in Ketu.

Hundeyin explained that the DPO in charge of the area mobilised his team to the scene following “a call about the efforts of some mobs to lynch some lesbians who were said to have gathered for a birthday party of one of their members.

He continued: “Information reaching us was that two lesbian partners among them were caught in the hotel room having sex, which triggered the attention of the hotel staff to alert the public.”

He said: “Our team arrived at the scene and some arrest was made but Akindoyin Olanike, 40 years old managed to escape from the scene, while her partner was among those that were apprehended.”

According to the police statement, signals have been sent across the country for the wanted suspects, soliciting for the assistance of the public, that if anyone sees her anywhere should quickly report to the nearest police station.
