The police have confirmed the abduction of two Abuja-bound buses and their passengers in Kogi State.
The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye, confirmed this through a statement on Monday.

Reports revealed that the God is Good (GIG) and ABC Transport buses were heading to Abuja before suspected kidnappers intercepted them and commandeered them to an unknown destination.
Aya, who could not ascertain the actual number of passengers kidnapped during the incident, said the Divisional Police Officer, (DPO) Local Vigilantes and Hunters have been scouting the bushes to rescue the kidnapped victims.

He added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Bethrand Onuoha, has deployed an additional Tactical Squad consisting of a Quick Response Unit, Police Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism Unit, as well as conventional Police personnel to the area to continue with the bush combing and ensure all victims are rescued unhurt.
